This was the goal of our daughter Alexia for several years: Hiking the Pacific Crest Trail . She hiked every single mile of the PCT this season . The initial plan was the continuous hike but, getting frostbites in the Sierra , she has adapted her hike to minimize the amount of time spent in the snow : come back at the end in the Sierra to achieve this part. First day on PCT: 12 April 2019 Last day on PCT : 25 August 2019 Cumulative km : 4376 km / 2653 miles Cumulative elevation gain: 122 327 m She used "Guthook Guides app" to register everyday her GPS coordinates From those coordinates, her father has retraced her hike in "Open runner" ( provide elevation gain and km ) , then in travel map I loaded her photographs Her blog : https://www.instagram.com/alexiamcdr/ "Tippytoes" is her PCT nickname; got following her frostbites in Sierra whose snow has been exceptional this year
